Trellis Society is looking for three community leaders to join our Board of Directors, a diverse group of people who share a commitment of governing the organization towards a vision where everyone reaches their full potential. Trellis works with people of all ages and backgrounds to overcome barriers and achieve their dreams. We improve access to resources, develop family and community supports and help people build their capacity to deal with life’s challenges. Our goal is that every one feels safe, connected and affirmed, resulting in a sense of belonging that empowers each person to reach their full potential.
As a Board member, you would be doing your part to help Trellis support growth across generations towards a world where everyone reaches their full potential.
Trellis aims to grow a diverse Board that reflects the people we serve. A Board whose members possess and demonstrate a combination of personal attributes, expertise, social capital, competencies and occupational backgrounds so that, collectively, it has access to a broad diversity of culture and community, experiences, perspectives, knowledge, connections, and skills to carry out its governance, planning, stewardship and advocacy functions.

If this is you, we would love to hear from you! Preference for the September Board appointments will be given to candidates demonstrating financial expertise and who have lived experience. If you have been personally impacted by the work of Trellis or its legacy organizations we would love to hear about that as well. With regards to finance experience, we are currently recruiting for the Chair of the Finance Committee along with an additional Finance Committee member.
