Sustainable Families

2.2.1_SustainableFamilies.png

Sustainable Families is a housing first program that provides intensive support for families facing homelessness.

We can help you with finding and keeping stable housing, accessing basic needs, developing life skills, accessing financial support and connecting to other community resources and supports. Our goal is to ensure that you and your family have the personal, social, physical, financial and human assets needed to remain housed for the long term.

In collaboration with local shelters and other community resources, we offer support to families experiencing complex needs, such as:

  • Poverty

  • Social isolation

  • Addictions

  • Mental health factors

  • Domestic violence

  • A history of trauma

  • Children’s Services involvement

  • Connection to culture

Who is this for?

This program supports families experiencing homelessness who are living in a shelter or couch surfing. Priority is given to families with a history of chronic or episodic homelessness who have been engaged in multiple systems and services and are facing a variety of barriers.
